Amongst many of the artworks, sculptures, accessories and books that we sourced for the hotel, some bespoke pieces were also created to link the history of the building with contemporary design. This vase was made for the bar at the hotel, which now makes its own Dutch Jenever Gin. The body of the vase is a body part from an old Gin Distillery. We commissioned one of Londons top tattoo artists to engrave the surface and then we finished the vase by customising the top and bottom with cut pieces of an old Dutch tobacco jar. The moulding of these elements has created a truly unique piece of art.
